Qualifications/Experience:
High School Diploma/GED required
Associates or Bachelors degree in communications public relations marketing education or a related field preferred
Experience in communications marketing project coordination or public engagement in an educational or public-sector setting preferred
Successful background check required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
The ideal candidate will possess strong writing editing and storytelling skills adaptable to a variety of platforms. Proficiency with communication tools such as Canva email marketing platforms social media and website content management systems is essential. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent organizational and project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong interpersonal skills are critical along with the ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The role requires a collaborative mindset and the ability to contribute to team-based decision-making across departments.

Specific Tasks:
This role is responsible for supporting and coordinating district-wide communications marketing efforts and strategic initiatives. Key tasks include implementing the Communications and Marketing Plan promoting consistent and aligned messaging and elevating stories that reflect the mission and values of Cambridge-Isanti Schools. The position also plays a vital role in enhancing public engagement and fostering strong relationships with families staff and the community through inclusive and transparent communication. Additionally the Communications and Strategic Projects Specialist supports the implementation and tracking of the districts Strategic Plan and priority initiatives by coordinating projects and collaborating closely with the Director of Community Education to ensure alignment and accountability across departments.
