Job Description
Lipscomb Academy is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Football Defensive Assistant Coach to join our program. This full-time position plays a vital role on the defensive coaching staff contributing to strategy development player growth game planning and essential administrative responsibilities.
The duties and responsibilities of the Football Defensive Coach include:
- Break down opponent film to identify tendencies and weaknesses.
- Help develop weekly defensive strategies and game plans.
- Work with position coaches to improve player technique and fundamentals.
- Help coach specific position groups (e.g. linebackers safeties defensive line).
- Provide individualized feedback during and after practices.
- Set up and run drills during practice.
- Monitor player performance and effort.
- Ensure drills align with the weeks game plan.
- Analyze game and practice film with players.
- Demonstrate professionalism at all times upholding the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct while fostering strong positive relationships with players coaches parents and the broader community.
- Cultivate a Christ-centered team environment rooted in service aligned with the mission and values of Lipscomb Academy.
