Wage- $28.69 per hour

Schedule Full Time 8hr shifts Monday Friday

Whatyou will be doing:Youll be responsible forcoordinating all work based learning (WBL) activities both on and off center for all students. Coordinate work based learning for those students who do not reside in the local area in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential Functions:

  1. Contact local and distant employers and explain the benefits of hiring Job Corps graduates returning to their area. Identify job placement and work based learning sites.
  2. Visit work-based training employers regularly to monitor students involved in work based learning.
  3. Develop and coordinate community service activities and projects as well as activities that will bring the community to the center such as open houses.
  4. Develop partnerships with employers to secure work-based learning opportunities in the community.
  5. Work with CTT staff to facilitate communication between all work-based learning (WBL) and school based learning participants.
  6. Assist with scheduling and arrange for orderly transition of student employees into the assignment; maintain student employee progress reviews and records.
  7. Maintain ongoing communications with work based learning providers schedule periodic visits to work-sites and evaluate work-sites.
  8. Assist with leisure time employment opportunities for students whenever possible.
  9. Maintain written agreements of all work-based learning partnerships.
  10. Maintain current information on center contacts and participation in community activities; prepare related reports.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in public relations and two years related experience.
  • Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.
  • A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
