The Accounting Manager is responsible for building leading and developing the Accounting and Purchasing team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to all accounting functions including general ledger accounts payable fixed assets project accounting tax financial and compliance reporting forecasting costing files assisting with annual budget monthly balancing inventory management and recording and timely reporting of accounting records/transactions etc.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business or direct related work experience
- Minimum 3 years work experience in a financial related position
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA and/or CMA
- Masters degree
- Manufacturing or Cost Accounting experience
- Leadership/supervisory experience
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
