Tobacco Processing Technical Training Manager
In this role youll inspire and guide your team to excellence delivering impactful training and addressing skill gaps. Youll enhance GSC factories operations in machinery quality safety and KPI improvement projects. Provide expert technical support coordinate innovative IWS-related projects and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Supervise mentor and develop your team while driving success. Position:
As the Tobacco Processing Technical Training Manager you will:
Lead and manage a team of TFT technical instructors ensuring effective performance task allocation and structured training development.
Deliver technical training and develop efficiency improvement plans for personnel.
Provide technical support to factories including machinery performance quality safety and maintenance improvements.
Participate in technical projects skills assessments and training needs analysis.
Stay updated on equipment modifications prepare technical documentation and maintain training program accuracy.
Serving as a point of contact for internal and external functions (e.g. Global IWS Teams Quality Engineering etc.).
Requirements:
STEM education (High School minimum); additional technical qualifications are an advantage.
At least 5 years of experience in the tobacco industry with strong knowledge of tobacco processing (primary) equipment.
Deep understanding of technical training methodologies and equipment maintenance.
Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with global teams.
Experience in people management/coaching and in training delivery.
Fluency in English.
Availability for business travel approximately 70% of working time.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
About TFT (Technical & Functional Training):
TFT is a global JTI GSC function focused on upskilling employees enhancing efficiency and eliminating skill-related losses. With a team of more than 50 experts we provide technical and functional training across multiple factories supporting performance improvements and complex projects working under IWS philosophy. Our reach spans 40 GSC factories we train 1500 technicians each year execute multiple key technical projects within the GSC on its IWS journey across JTIs operations.
