As a Senior Data Scientist youll own the endtoend analytics of our quantumdiamond microscope - optics electronics and signal processing - and lift its performance through rigorous datadriven engineering.

What will you do
- Analyse quantumsensing datasets extract physical insight and turn it into actionable feedback for customers.
- Design execute and interpret experiments that probe the optical electronic and digital signal chains of our microscopes.
- Pinpoint bottlenecks and introduce improvements across hardware and software championing datadriven engineering practices.
- Mentor junior data scientists and raise the bar for analysis documentation and reproducibility.
- Communicate findings inclear reports and concise visuals to both internal teams and external partners in the semiconductor ecosystem.
What is expected of you
- PhD in Physics Optical/Electrical Engineering Applied Mathematics or a closely related discipline; exceptional candidates with an MSc and 6 years of hands-on R&D experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Proven track record of 4 years in a data science and R&D setting outside of academia working with complex optical and/or electronic measurement equipment.
- Expertise in statistical data analysis experimental design and signal processing with a passion for datadriven decision making.
- Demonstrated experience developing advanced algorithms for signal processing - from concept through to deployment.
- Fluency in Python (NumPy SciPy pandas matplotlib) and version control.
- Ability to translate raw data into clear stories for technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to work handson in the lab.
- A background in quantum sensing technologies is a significant plus.
