Amazons Pricing & Promotions Science Data and Insights organization is seeking a highly analytical Business Intelligence Manager. In this role you will lead a team that develops builds and delivers automated analytics insights and anomaly detection tools and technologies which will deliver the best prices and experiences to our customers. Data insights and analytics are at the core of Amazons culture and your work will have a direct impact on decision making and strategy for the Pricing and Promotions organization.
This role requires a self-starting leader with high judgment that thrives in ambiguity and inspires their team. We are looking for an experienced leader with broad and deep analytical abilities that is customer and delivery-focused and a has a track record of earning your customers and peers trust. To be successful in this role you will need a successful track record of leading analytics teams strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Key job responsibilities
Lead the business intelligence and insights team for your employees business and its customers.
Mentor and grow your employees.
Develop build and deliver analytical reporting models and business strategy.
Lead deep dive analyses of business problems and formulate conclusions and recommendations to be presented to senior leadership.
Leverage LLMs to automate and generate Insights and drive growth discussions with Product teams.
Produce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders that will help shape effective metric development and reporting.
Continuously invent simplify and automate your teams products tools services and methodologies.
Improving back-end data sources for increased accuracy and simplicity.
Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting analyses data quality and modeling.
- 7 years of business intelligence and analytics experience
- 5 years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team including employee development and performance management experience
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with ETL
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau Quicksight or similar tools
- Experience with R Python Weka SAS Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software
- 4 years of working with very large data warehousing environment experience
- 10 years of data warehouse technical architectures data modeling infrastructure components ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments data structures and hands-on SQL coding experience

The base salary for this position ranges from $110100/year up to $183900/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
