General Accountant Metro Cadillac Franchise Auto Dealership

We are a high-volume Cadillac franchise dealership located in the metro area committed to excellence in customer service and business integrity. We are currently seeking a General Accountant to join our accounting team and support daily financial operations.
Job Description:
The General Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records processing dealership transactions and supporting the month-end close. This position reports to the Controller and works closely with sales service and parts departments to ensure all accounting processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Record and reconcile daily cash credit and bank transactions
Post general ledger entries and assist with month-end journal entries
Process accounts payable and receivable including vendor statements
Prepare and reconcile schedules for inventories floor plans and factory receivables
Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and compliance reporting
Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with dealership and OEM standards
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred
2 years of accounting experience; dealership experience strongly preferred
Proficiency with dealership DMS systems (CDK Reynolds ADP Dealer Track) is a plus
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliations
Attention to detail high accuracy and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication and organizational skills
