Job Description
Position: Part-Time Special Education Teaching Assistant
- Details: One part-time position - 5.5 hours per day 188 day contract

Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Demonstrate aptitude for the work to be performed in an environment of high expectations and with adolescent learners

Job Expectations:
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently accurately and in a timely manner and without constant supervision
- Demonstrate flexibility confidentiality and professionalism
- Promote a positive learning environment for students while maintaining discipline when needed
- Provide behavioral and academic support in both regular and special education classrooms with poise and confidence
- Maintain and operate a variety of assistive technology
- Accept tasks and responsibilities willingly and pleasantly from both teachers and/or case managers
- Maintain above average attendance including attendance to necessary in-service and staff trainings/meetings
- Assist with direct observation/data collection and assessments
- Facilitate reteaching and extra instruction in a wide variety of courses including math English social studies science and foreign language
- FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
