Job Description
The Role
Ventia are seeking to engage a Trade Assistant to support our team on our Defence Base Services contract. This role will see you effectively maintain repair replace and ensure the integrity and performance of equipment and facilities within the Special Forces Training Facilities. This is a full-time permanent position and you will be located between Campbell Barracks in Swanbourne and Bindoon Training Area WA.
You will be working 8-hour days (38-hours per week) with 1x RDO (Rostered Day Off) per month. A company car (Tool of Trade vehicle) will also be provided for travel to and from the base to home each day.
The payrate for this position is $41.67 per hour.
To be considered for this position you must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assist with target set-up maintenance and reconstitution
- Perform minor repairs and cleaning of equipment
- Assist with the transporting and collecting target mechanisms and spare parts
- Support range sentry duties and disposal of range produce
- Contribute to Defence objectives and collaborate in contracting
- Perform other duties as required by the Supervisor
Requirements:
- WA Drivers Licence HR Licence is highly regarded
- EWP Ticket
- Forklift Licence
- Working at Heights
- Skid Steer Operator Ticket
