About the Role
Sperton Norway AS is hiring on behalf of a leading banking client for a Site Reliability Engineer / DevOps position based in Oslo. This is a great opportunity to join an exciting and impactful project focused on improving system reliability automation and performance in a financial technology environment.
About the Client
Youll be working on a critical project for a well-known bank helping improve the performance and reliability of their platforms used across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support production systems and environments
Monitor application performance and respond to issues quickly
Improve system reliability and reduce incidents over time
Automate deployment and support CI/CD pipelines
Set up and maintain alerts and monitoring tools
Troubleshoot issues across the full technology stack
Work closely with global teams across time zones
Mentor junior team members and share knowledge
Be available for on-call support on a rotating schedule
What Were Looking For
Must-Have Skills:
Linux & Shell scripting
Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM processes
Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins Git Bitbucket)
Monitoring tools (Splunk Dynatrace preferred)
Application troubleshooting skills
Basic SQL knowledge
YAML / Groovy scripting
Nice-to-Have:
Basic knowledge of Ansible or Chef
Experience with event-driven architecture
