Job Description
Boca Raton FL
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise shop floor operations and coordinate with production teams.
- Review fabrication drawings and specifications ensuring adherence to AISC quality control standards.
- Track project progress resolve delays and uphold production timelines.
- Ensure compliance with AISC and AWS standards through rigorous quality assurance practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of fitters welders and machine operators.
- Promote a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Proactively address risks like material shortages or procurement issues and implement contingency plans.
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in steel and miscellaneous metals fabrication.
- Deep understanding of steel fabrication processes and industry standards (AISC AWS).
- Strong skills in supplier negotiations and relationship management.
- Capable of managing production schedules and effectively communicating with clients and management.
- Familiarity with project management tools and CNC fabrication equipment.
- Experience with Tekla PowerFab.
- Highly organized detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Advanced degree in engineering or logistics.
- Experience with SCM warehouse management system.
