Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Specialist (B2B Construction-Adjacent)

Location: Remote (Focus: Expanding beyond Kentucky)
Employment Type: Full-Time

As we invest in outbound growth we re hiring our first dedicated business development professional someone ready to lay the foundation for our long-term expansion strategy.


The Role

We re seeking a self-starting proactive Business Development Specialist to generate and qualify B2B leads outside our current geography. This is a hunter role not focused on closing deals but on identifying researching and initiating contact with potential partners in construction-adjacent sectors.

You ll work closely with leadership and estimators to feed high-potential opportunities into our pipeline. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a startup-like environment is energized by outbound outreach and wants to help build a business development function from the ground up.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research new business opportunities in construction-adjacent sectors across targeted states (beyond Kentucky).

  • Conduct cold outreach via email phone and other channels to initiate conversations and qualify leads.

  • Use AI-based tools and databases to source prospects and build target lists.

  • Develop and execute basic outbound campaigns and strategies to drive engagement.

  • Convert cold leads into warm handoffs for our estimator team.

  • Collaborate with leadership to define geographic priorities and go-to-market strategy.

  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and lead status in our CRM.

  • Contribute to newsletters and communications as part of brand awareness and outreach efforts.


Qualifications

  • 2 years in B2B business development inside sales or outbound lead generation.

  • Proven cold outreach experience you re comfortable and confident starting conversations from scratch.

  • Knowledge of the construction or construction-adjacent sectors is a plus but not required.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset able to work independently and iterate quickly in a dynamic environment.

  • Familiarity with CRMs email outreach tools and AI-powered prospecting software is a bonus.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills especially in remote settings.

  • Bonus: Exposure to marketing or running basic outbound campaigns (though this is not a marketing role).
