Job Description

Manufacturing Process Engineer - Join Our Team!

Are you a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer looking to take your career to the next level Look no further! Our client a leading player in the automotive industry is on the hunt for talented individuals ready to make an impact.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Propose and evaluate manufacturing processes and equipment in designated areas.
  • Ensure plant goals and standards in safety quality delivery and cost are met.
  • Coordinate effective use of personnel materials and equipment supporting SPQRC initiatives.
  • Provide technical assistance and training for plant operations.
  • Collaborate with production maintenance and suppliers for timely project completion.
  • Analyze tooling and equipment selecting steps for resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external business units.
  • Support plants in achieving Safety People Quality Responsiveness and Cost objectives.
  • Implement compliance with QS9000/ISO14001/(GMS) Global Manufacturing System processes.

The Right Candidate Has

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering.
  • Expert knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Basic knowledge of tooling and automotive industry processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Lotus Notes or similar email communication tools.
  • Ability to work with senior management to analyze and solve issues.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Teamwork skills and ability to work well with others.

Additional Responsibilities Include

  • Analyzing engine test process data for defect detection and improved throughput.
  • Innovating manufacturing solutions for quality and throughput enhancement.
  • Monitoring and adjusting engine process equipment for optimized performance.
  • Programming torque controllers and evaluating data trends.
  • Designing tooling for production improvements.
  • Maintaining Process Control Plans and PFMEA.
  • Managing equipment and spare parts orders.
  • Directing UAW hourly personnel.
