Job Description

  • Safety Program Development and Implementation

    • Develop implement and enforce safety programs and policies tailored to IT infrastructure construction projects.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards.
    • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Training and Education

    • Provide safety training to construction and IT teams including subcontractors to ensure awareness of safety practices and regulations.
    • Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Site Monitoring and Auditing

    • Perform regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
    • Document safety incidents near misses and violations; conduct thorough investigations and implement preventive measures.
    • Maintain accurate safety records including OSHA logs and compliance documentation.
  • Collaboration and Communication

    • Work closely with project managers construction teams and IT staff to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
    • Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and coordinate inspections or audits as required.
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response

    • Develop and implement emergency response plans for construction sites.
    • Lead safety drills and ensure all personnel are prepared for potential emergencies.
  • Continuous Improvement

    • Stay updated on industry trends emerging safety technologies and changes to OSHA regulations.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to improve safety practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications :

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety Environmental Science Engineering or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction safety management preferably within IT infrastructure projects.
    • Familiarity with safety challenges specific to data center and IT infrastructure construction.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively train teams and address safety concerns.
    • Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
