Job Description
Essential Responsibilities-
1. Installation maintenance and repair of two-way radios base installations repeaters mobiles portables licensed and unlicensed microwave links dispatch consoles battery back-up systems and mobile installations.
2. Computer skills required with the ability to program troubleshoot and/or perform diagnostics on communication systems.
3. Trunked radio systems P25 DMR (Moto TRBO) LTR and IP-based communication systems and network components
4. Basic and Intermediate Level IP Networking/Troubleshooting
5. Sales Engineering Support
6. Program many types of radio systems to customer licensed requirements.
7. On-call on a rotating basis
8. Reports to the Service Manager or the Vice President of Service
9. Other duties as assigned
Training Experience and Education- High School Diploma two-year degree in electronics preferred and/or military RF/ electronics schooling and or experience in the two-way radio industry FCC ETA R56 amateur radio license COMPTIA and other industry standard certifications are a plus.
MUST HAVE ETA CETa and/or COMPTIA Net within 90 days of employment.
Other requirements- Valid Drivers license with a good record Clean background check Travel may be required for field service work.
