Job Description

Due to internal movement we are in the unique position of seeking two Village Managers to join our established Christchurch network of Arvida communities.

As the Village Manager you will oversee all day-to-day operations including team leadership resident satisfaction clinical care sales landscape and property maintenance and overall financial performance.

Working alongside an experienced team surrounded by an exceptional group of residents and their whanau you will ensure Arvidas holistic Attitude of Living Well approach is brought to life each day.

The opportunities available are at our Park Lane community in Addington and our Ilam community close to Canterbury University.

  • Park Lane boasts a contemporary mix of apartments villas serviced apartments and care options. This role also oversees our innovative Good Friends centre offering services to older New Zealanders in the wider community.
  • Ilam is situated in beautifully landscaped grounds and offers assisted living options in our modern and flexible serviced apartments as well as personalised hospital and dementia care.

To ensure the ongoing success of our communities our Village Managers are seasoned and passionate operators.

Your commercial acumen strong leadership skills and continuous improvement mindset will continue to nourish a thriving business and community and at a minimum you will demonstrate:

  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role (senior living experience preferred).
  • Ability to engage and foster relationships with prospective and established residents and ensure Arvidas reputation is enhanced in the local community.
  • Experience in leading coaching and developing people - fostering a values-led culture.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to deliver operational goals. 
  • Knowledge and experience with village management agreements and contracts and ORA sales and property management principles.
  • Understanding and application of relevant legislation.
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety management and safe working practices.
