DEPARTMENT: Nursing Department
POSITION: Resident Services Coordinator
SUPERVISION: House Manager
SHIFT: Day
HOURLY PAY: $17.00-$18.00 commensurate with experience.
Duties:
Maintains charts and compiles charts for new admissions placing in necessary forms such as physicians order sheets nurse progress notes etc. and record necessary information such as name of resident etc.
Maintains an accurate inventory of supplies by the correct ordering of same from the Purchasing Department.
Assists with transporting residents on campus.
Ensures all faxes to and from facility are sent picked up distributed and filed correctly.
Assists with all Physician/Physician Assistant and Podiatrist visits as required by the Charge Nurse. Is to assist with secretarial duties and transporting duties only (example: having charts open for documentation).
Ensures that all file drawers books pharmacy lab and x-ray forms etc. are kept full with all necessary copies needed.
Ensures all necessary paperwork is filed as necessary or on a routine basis.
Assists in obtaining signatures on resident vouchers after obtaining prior approval from Accounting Department.
Updates CNA Task books.
Assists with putting together necessary paperwork when patient is being transferred to hospital and calls ambulance to transport patient.
Sets up doctors appointments and transportation needs for resident needing appointments outside of facility by coordinating with multiple doctors offices transportation organizations Sitrins transportation department and ensuring all necessary paperwork and payments are made.
Inputs work orders for maintenance into WorxHub on an as needed basis.
Delivers and reads mail as requested.
Keeps disaster plan identification tags current.
Runs task list report on each patient as directed.
Wipes down charts and other nursing station books and equipment on down time and/or as needed.
Allowed access to the entire medical records of all residents.
Performs duties according to the highest ethical and moral standards and in adherence with the facilitys corporate compliance plan and all applicable governing laws. Adheres to the facilitys confidentiality statement in accessing and safeguarding protected health information (PHI) of residents and employees as necessary to perform job duties.
Performs any other secretarial duties as assigned by Charge Nurse Supervisor and Unit Manager.
Possesses verbal writing reading and computer skills necessary to perform duties associated with the position.
Demonstrates effective communication skills.
High school graduate.
Nurse Aide Certification preferred.
Two years experience in clerical work in a medical facility preferred.
Successful completion of facility transfer training.
