About the Position:

As an E&S Compliance Analyst youll assist our Director Business Operations with leading our internal audit and tax compliance for multiple states and various E&S lines of business. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and leveraging technology to optimize our processes and workflows.

We need an experienced tech-savvy problem solver with experience with P&C data. You understand the complexities of insurance operations transactions and filings.


*This position is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity that can be based in one of the following states only: AL AZ FL GA KY LA MA MO NC NJ NY OH OR PA SC TN TX UT VA WA WI.

Some travel for day-to-day work team meetings and training will be required.

Key Responsibilities: (What youll be asked to do)

  • Prepare and submit regulatory and premium reports to state-specific surplus lines organizations.
  • Research and analyze state-specific rules and regulations that govern E&S tax filing requirements.
  • Monitor and promptly respond to notifications received from tax authorities and surplus lines organizations.
  • Partner with our Director Business Operations to perform internal quarterly tax filing audits.
  • Identify tax filing system problems and triage with our software development team.
  • Partner with our finance team to ensure accurate payments are made to State and Bureau assessments.
  • Ability to perform your own detailed data validation and analysis.
  • Stay updated on industry trends state legislation and market conditions to assist in reviewing state objections and drafting responses.
  • Participate in reviewing and streamlining our workflows and processes.

  • Establish relationships and build rapport with internal and external team members.


Some Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in reporting auditing tax filing or accounting-related positions.
  • Previous knowledge of Personal Lines Commercial E&S and Flood lines of Insurance preferred.
  • E&S insurance tax filing knowledge strongly preferred.


Education:

  • Bachelors degree or relevant experience is required.


Computer Skills:

  • Were an MS Office environment (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint)
  • Intermediate experience with data analysis tools and softwares (Excel SQL or other data analysis software).
  • Experience using video and chat technology (MS Teams & Slack)


Other:

  • Reliable high-speed internet connectivity required.
  • Designated quiet work from home space.


The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is: $70000 - $85000 per year benefits.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. This salary range is a good-faith estimate of what Swyfft may pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on skills qualifications and experience. The range reflects annual compensation (as applicable) and does not include bonuses or other incentives that the company may choose to pay at its sole discretion.
