Senior Social Workersare passionate in demonstrating expert and effective practice in complex situations. Managing your own complex caseload as well as supporting your colleagues with theirs youll be a source of specialist advice and enable the mitigation of high levels of risk. Youll also bring professional expertise to contribute to the development of practice will have experience in developing strong working relationships with partners other agencies and the voluntary sector to deliver improved outcomes.
What you will need
Youll bring significant experience of social work modelling good practice and providing advice and guidance in complex situations. Were also looking for your ability to mentor both newly qualified and experienced team members. As a subject matter expert in relevant professional practice you should have a comprehensive understanding of current legislation regulations and guidance.

The team
Post 1: The Willows
Youll be part of a small specialist team dedicated to supporting adults with Organic Mental Health difficulties in Later Life who qualify for Section 117 Aftercare. The team is responsible for managing hospital discharges and conducting aftercare reviews within the Ipswich East locality. Working alongside care providers NSFT and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) youll help build strong relationships and improve outcomes for individuals in complex situations.
Post 2: Bury Town
Bury Town is a busy and supportive team serving adults in Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding villages. We work closely with colleagues in health NSFT housing and the wider multidisciplinary team to carry out assessments under the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act. Our responsibilities also include responding to safeguarding concerns reviewing care and support plans and operating a duty service to address urgent needs.
Post 3: Waveney
Waveney is part of the Great Yarmouth and North Suffolk Integrated Care Board and is dedicated to building an integrated health and social care system that delivers better outcomes for adults in our community. In this role you will work closely with the Team Manager Senior Practitioners and a committed dynamic team of Social Workers Independence and Well-Being Practitioners and Occupational Therapists to support this mission. While the main base is at Riverside occasional travel to the JPUH will be required to support colleagues based in the discharge hub.
