Job Description

As Electronics Engineering Manager you will lead the design development and validation of the electronic subsystems powering our low-field MRI platform. From low-noise RF detection circuits to advanced analog/digital interfacing as well as power amplifiers used to generate magnetic fields your team will develop the building blocks that enable ultra-low field NMR signal detection. Your mission is to drive innovation while ensuring regulatory compliance and technical excellence through the prototyping phase and into future industrialization.

You will lead a team of specialized engineers working across RF design SQUID detection cryogenics and gradient/RF transmission. While primarily a leadership role youll remain hands-on guiding architecture reviewing designs debugging critical issues and participating in research and planning.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics or a related field.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in analog/RF electronics design with 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven expertise in designing simulating and testing analog and RF circuits with experience in low-noise systems or signal acquisition chains.
  • Solid understanding of electromagnetic principles analog signal paths and interfacing with digital control systems.
  • Experience with PCB design and layout tools cable shielding and EMI management.
  • Familiarity with cryogenic electronics SQUID systems or superconducting detection is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience in MRI systems including RF coils and gradient electronics is a strong plus.
  • Hands-on experience using test and measurement tools such as oscilloscopes VNAs and spectrum analyzers.
  • Excellent planning and communication skills; capable of guiding research planning and reporting results across stakeholders.
  • Experience working under regulated environments with working knowledge of ISO 13485 and IEC 60601.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary electronics team covering RF systems low-noise analog design cryogenic detection and MRI gradient/transmit electronics.
  • Oversee the design simulation and validation of complex analog and RF electronic systems.
  • Contribute directly to the development of analog/RF hardware including PCB schematic and layout design cabling shielding grounding and system integration tasks.
  • Guide the development of data acquisition and embedded control systems ensuring proper analog-to-digital interfacing and system synchronization.
  • Plan schedule and manage research efforts to meet technical milestones from NMR experiments to full MRI prototype evaluation.
  • Support the development operation & integration of cryogenic systems and cold electronics (down to 2K temperatures) to achieve optimal low-noise performance in the detection line.
  • Manage and review simulation and modeling work including electromagnetic and noise simulations using FEM tools and circuit modeling.
  • Oversee the characterization and testing of electronic components and systems using test equipment such as spectrum analyzers network analyzers and oscilloscopes.
  • Lead or contribute to the design of gradient and RF coils transmit/receive chain optimization and electromagnetic system tuning.
  • Coordinate verification and validation activities for prototype electronics ensuring alignment with system requirements and documentation under ISO 13485.
  • Support the documentation traceability and compliance of designs and experiments within the QMS framework (ISO 13485).
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams (Mechanical MRI validation and Software) to align system-level development efforts and integration planning.
  • Support to Colleagues and Contribution to Internal Collaboration (5% of Time)
