Job Description: Adult Consultant Psychiatrist Job Responsibilities: Provide specialized psychiatric services and consultations to adult patients. Lead multidisciplinary teams in the management of complex mental health conditions. Maintain and improve standards of clinical practice and ensure compliance with legislation and regulations. Initiate and implement corporate decisions that advance service quality and patient care. Participate actively in change management processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct assessments create treatment plans and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Ensure that all services provided meet the Quality Standards and the ethos of the organization. Engage in regular supervision peer reviews and continuous professional development. Support the development of other medical staff and contribute to educational programs within the hospital. Essential Qualifications: Be medically qualified and hold MRC Psych or equivalent. Possess a GMC registration with a license to practice. Completed Core Psychiatry Training (CT1 CT3 and Higher Specialist Training (ST4 ST6. Have a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) confirming eligibility for consultant psychiatrist roles. Hold a recognized medical degree (e.g. MBBS MBChB) from a GMC-approved institution. Mandatory skills include psychiatric diagnosis expertise Mental Health Act 1983 knowledge and leadership within multidisciplinary teams. Desired Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in the field of psychiatry with a focus on management roles. Significant understanding of contemporary issues in mental health and relevant legislative frameworks. Previous consultant experience within private hospitals and NHS settings is advantageous.
