This is a remote position.
This mission-driven Australian healthcare group flies multidisciplinary clinicians to rural and remote communities breaking down barriers to allied health and NDIS-funded services. As they grow rapidly nationwide they rely on strong HR processes airtight compliance and top-notch employee support to keep care teams focused on patients.
As the People Operations & Compliance Coordinator you ll serve as the systems guardian of the employee life cycle managing contracts onboarding offboarding and daily HR queries. Your work will ensure that every team member s journey is smooth accurate and compliant.
Employee Records & Contracts
Draft issue and update employment contracts
Keep digital personnel files 100% up to date per Australian legislation and company policy
Onboarding Coordination
Work with IT to set up accounts and hardware
Ensure day-one access to clinical payroll and HRIS platforms
Send welcome packs and track completion of mandatory training and certifications
Offboarding Coordination
Handle employee exits: deactivate IT access collect equipment archive files and trigger final pay processes
Compliance & Certification
Monitor expiry dates for licenses and credentials; follow up for renewals and upload evidence
HR Inbox & Employee Support
Respond to queries on policy leave payroll and benefits; escalate complex issues as needed
Issue Resolution
Support communication between employees and managers to resolve concerns discreetly
Success measures: zero contract errors 48-hour onboarding completion same-day offboarding closure and high satisfaction scores for HR support.
Must-Haves
2 years of experience in HR administration people operations or payroll support
Knowledge of Australian employment standards and privacy principles
Proven experience managing onboarding/offboarding and maintaining HRIS data integrity
Excellent written and verbal English; able to explain policies clearly
Detail-oriented deadline-focused and committed to confidentiality
Proficiency with Google Workspace and HR platforms (e.g. Employment Hero BambooHR SAP SuccessFactors)
Stable internet (25 Mbps) and a quiet professional workspace
Experience in healthcare NDIS or compliance-heavy industries
Experience supporting a distributed or FIFO workforce
Familiarity with ISO27001 or similar data-security frameworks
Knowledgeable and has experience in Employment Hero platform
