Job Description
Day to day you will:
- Lead end-to-end digital content production (shooting editing publishing video and audio)
- Stay current with digital trends using data and audience insights to improve content.
- Produce bespoke video content across all digital platforms
- Discover trending social video content to share on and off platforms
- Publish video content to The Sydney Morning Herald digital platforms applying strong editorial judgment
- Actively contribute to editorial discussions and pitch original ideas
- Manage cross-platform publishing and monitor audience analytics
This role requires weekend work.
Qualifications :
What youll bring:
- Demonstrated experience in video production from camera setup and direction to editing and motion design
- Ability to think quickly and act decisively in a fast-paced news environment prioritising and meeting tight deadlines
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro After Effects Photoshop Illustrator Audition)
- A proactive team player attitude always looking to innovate learn and push creative boundaries
- Excellent production and post-production skills
- An understanding of digital content delivery and workflows
- Strong understanding of principles of journalism
- Proven knowledge of video editing techniques
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud is desirable
