Job Description
Diesel Mechanic
Perform skilled repairs and maintenance on gasoline and diesel engines including engine overhauls brake and suspension work electrical system repairs and clutch replacements
Operate and document a preventive maintenance program keeping detailed records of all work performed on vehicles and equipment
Repair power equipment and tools such as compressors jackhammers and mowers.
Order and manage parts inventory prepare and maintain repair records and assist in developing vehicle specifications
Operate vehicles for snow removal and sanding during winter plowing and perform emergency highway operations as needed.
Ensure safe practices in vehicle servicing maintain a daily log of activities and update the Computer Maintenance and Management System
