Job Title: Early Childhood Specialist
Wage/Hour Status: Exempt

Primary Purpose:
The Early Childhood Specialist will lead the development implementation and continuous improvement of instruction in Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd grade. This role focuses on building strong foundational literacy and numeracy. The specialist will provide job-embedded coaching targeted professional development and instructional support to teachers and staff to increase student achievement. All efforts will align with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) district curriculum and evidence-based data-driven instructional practices.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required)
Valid Texas teaching certificate with Early Childhood endorsement
ESL Certification (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Deep understanding of early literacy and numeracy
Strong interpersonal coaching and communication skills
Ability to analyze data and support instructional decision-making
Familiarity with state standards (TEKS) and district curriculum resources
Commitment to access early intervention and family engagement
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of successful early childhood classroom teaching experience
Demonstrated success in improving early reading and math outcomes
Experience providing professional development and/or instructional coaching
