Boston Universitys Office of the University Registrar (OUR) seeks a strategic and collaborative Senior Assistant Registrar for Scheduling and Classroom Management to lead the scheduling operations and classroom management functions on the Charles River Campus. This role plays a central role in coordinating with campus partners to ensure academic spaces and schedules meet the pedagogical and operational needs of the university community.
Under the direction of the Associate Registrar for Curriculum and Classroom Management this position collaborates with schools and colleges the Provosts Office Enrollment Services Operations Marketing & Communications (MARCOM) and Information Services & Technology (IS&T) to support the development and maintenance of each semesters course schedule and classroom assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team responsible for course scheduling and classroom assignments across the Charles River Campus. Communicate deadlines policies and process changes to ensure consistent execution.
Manage the semester scheduling cycle audit data quality and resolve issues in collaboration with IT and Enrollment Services. Prepare systems for registration and ensure scheduling practices align with institutional needs.
Develop and maintain documentation training materials and online resources for internal staff and school-based schedulers. Support training for new and existing users.
Analyze scheduling trends to inform policy recommendations. Support testing and implementation of updates in the student information system (MYBU) and respond to classroom-related issues and special requests.
About the Organization
The Office of the University Registrar is part of the Enrollment & Student Administration unit (ENSA). It supports the instructional and student progress endeavors of Boston University by providing quality services to students faculty academic and administrative departments and the public. We supervise registration and the evaluation of transfer credit maintain student academic records and record grades issue transcripts verify enrollment and graduation issue diplomas assign classrooms produce the class schedule schedule final examinations and oversee production of the Bulletin and the Degree Advice system.

About the Candidate:
Bachelors Degree
3-5 years of experience with 2 years of management experience
Excellent organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with student information systems (e.g. PeopleSoft/Campus Solutions) and scheduling software
Ability to build collaborative partnerships across diverse stakeholders and departments.
