EndFlex an ATS Company offers a wide range of primary and secondary packaging technologies servicing industries that range from food nutraceuticals pharmaceuticals industrial and cannabis with a primary manufacturing site in Miami FL.
Packaging solutions include Vertical and Horizontal Form Fill Seal Pre-made pouch bagging flow wrapping cartoning and bag-in-box solutions. Their filling technology includes auger powder filling weigh filling for solids multi-point depositors and pre-roll automation for cannabis. Additionally they offer a number of integrated and robotic solutions for customers in the packaging space.
The role of the Mechanical Engineering Designer will involve all aspects of mechanical design from concept development validation and detailed design requiring autonomy and hands-on activity. You will be responsible for the quality and thoroughness of the drawings created meeting the expectations as outlined in the work order.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design with intent of cost savings inventory reduction and respecting obligatory mandate.
- Perform basic design & draft as support for intermediate/senior levels.
- Build the technical requirements and scope for the project.
- Define the engineering budget.
- Complete work order on time on budget and with the expected results.
- Study the Engineering Schedule and follow the pre-determined schedule.
- Lead the product validation and application qualification.
- Respect drawings standards and standard regulatory criteria (FDA CSA ANSI etc.) for all designs.
- Use proper naming convention and archiving protocols when creating drawings.
- Perform inspection of new parts.
- Supporting assembly and fabrication team with application issues.
- Generate Bill of Materials for Assemblies.
- Follows global industry standards and companys practices rules and procedures.
- Perform ECRs demands.
- Keep updated on innovations in the packaging industry.
- Respects the companys standards such as punching rules policies procedures
- Support the service team during commissioning.
- Interface with clients when required.
- Travel if needed.
- Bi-lingual in english and spanish is a plus.
- Build shop packets and lead the transfer from engineering to production.
