Overview and duties:
The Senior Director Adult Acute Services is responsible for the direction and leadership of operational financial programmatic and personnel activities across the medical center as it relates to Nursing Excellence with specific oversight for the Adult Acute service line. Responsibilities include establishing meeting and continuously monitoring the goals and objectives of the assigned service line while maintaining alignment with the medical centers overarching strategic goals and objectives. While the range of duties and responsibilities is broad and varied the positions major responsibility is directing the day to-day operations budgeting financial management and human resource management. The Senior Director works closely with a variety of stakeholders across the enterprise.
The Senior Director has broad expertise in the delivery of nursing professional practice including models for care delivery and models of professional practice. The incumbent is responsible for enterprise-wide efforts around developing implementing and enhancing professional nursing practice across all domains of the medical center.

- Interprets impact of broad scope organizational change for staff and develops change strategies for successful implementation.
- Incorporates CMCs vision missions and values in goals and programs within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Develops and manages operational initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Formulates objectives goals and strategies collaboratively with other stakeholders.
- Prepares and delivers reports to operational leadership outlining progress toward meeting annual goals and objectives to include performance related to finance clinical activity quality safety and human resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master of Science in Nursing or Business or Healthcare Admin degree preferred.
- Three years of relevant professional progressive nursing leadership experience required; five (5) years preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively across CMC and disciplines. Demonstrated commitment to patient- and family centered care.
- Broad knowledge of modern health care administration practices and principles
- Hospital based experience in Med/Surg and RNU.
Nice-to-have Qualifications:
- Possession of discipline-specific board certification preferred; certification in patient safety and/or clinical quality preferred
- Leadership experience as a nursing services unit director preferred.
