Job Description
Job Title: GROUNDS ATTENDANT
Rate of Pay: $18.00 /Hour
Shift: Variable days and shift times
Must be available weekends and holidays
Full-Time & Part-Time - Seasonal Position
SUMMARY
Help with grounds maintenance throughout the resort to create a positive sense of arrival within the framework of Sundances environmental commitment to land stewardship.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that flower barrels and beds are watered adequately.
- Operate/repair sprinklers.
- Mow and maintain Summer Theatre grounds.
- Operate push mower and riding mower.
- Operate weed-eater and leaf blower in HOA and base areas.
- Remove weeds and invasive plants.
- Prune and trim trees and shrubs.
- Pick up trash and recycling in all resort areas.
- Help with baling cardboard and recycling center.
- Drive the Ranger van and other Sundance vehicles on Sundance property.
- Snow removal on steps and pathways throughout resort shoveling & snowblower operation.
- Spread ice-melt on pathways steps walkways bridges decks and patios as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Operate two-way radios.
- Must possess a valid U.S. Drivers License in good standing as determined by Sundances Insurance Company guidelines.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Regularly required to stand walk use hands and lift/move up to 20 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds).
