Position Summary
Sovah Health is looking for the ideal candidate who will serve as a resource lead employee for all staff. Must greet patients activate patient files and provide support to medical and other personnel. It is imperative that the Lead delegate tasks among the staff to complete these tasks promptly. This person will act as a floater and will be able to assist in covering for all positions to ensure efficient patient flow.
Greets patients and visitors.
Registers patients verifies patient information explains and obtains necessary signatures.
Answers screens and routes telephone calls on a multi-line phone system.
Communicates with the answering service and ensures reminder phone calls are done daily.
Collects patient co-payments deductibles payments and assists patients with account balances and questions.
Reconciles cash/payment drawer and for the daily bank deposit.
Follows through on MD orders by providing work excuses obtaining medical records.
Assembles and maintains patient records and charts.
Coordinates orders for all non-clinical supplies and equipment and ensures appropriate inventory levels in accordance with practice budget.
Provides orientation and guidance for non-clinical staff including front desk and schedulers.
Provides input and feedback to the Patient Services Manager regarding Patient Services Representatives performance and orientation.
Serves as a super user for eCW answers or opens tickets for any questions concerning eCW issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum two (2) years of Medical Office experience required
Five (5) years of management experience preferred
