Job Description
Location: This position is located onsite at our Kershaw Medical Center campus in Camden SC.
Must have experience with EPIC how to schedule take payments and maneuver within to provide excellent customer service.
Job Description/Summary: Receives and provides information to patients significant others healthcare team members and hospital guests in a courteous and professional manner. Provides an accurate and timely registration process to the patient population.
Gathers demographic and billing information and enters it into the computer accurately. Has a strong knowledge of different insurance payors and functionality that impacts the authorization process with month-to-month changes. Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal financial medical or employment status of each patient. The Sleep Registrar is responsible for meeting and/or exceeding customer service expectations related to the registration and scheduling process.
