DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role is a professional position within the William Penn Forest District encompassing a diverse range of responsibilities related to forestry management. The individual in this role will oversee various programs including Private Forestland Stewardship Wildfire Protection Urban Forestry and the Conservation Landscape Initiative in addition to managing State Forest Recreation and other assigned tasks. As the District Seed and Tree Seedling Coordinator and GIS Coordinator this position plays a pivotal role in leading efforts related to state forest resource management and recreational activities. The primary objective of this position is to implement the State Forest Resource Management Plan for the William Penn State Forest while providing education support and guidance to private landowners municipalities and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Bucks County. This includes promoting the proper establishment sustainable management and protection of forest resources to ensure their longevity and health.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday - Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position may require overtime and travel
- Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time on an ad-hoc basis. In order to telework you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Collegeville.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:- Two years of technical forestry experience and an associates degree in forest technology forestry forest management forest ecosystem management urban forestry forest science agroforestry or a related forestry degree;or
- A bachelors degree in forest technology forestry forest management forest ecosystem management urban forestry forest science agroforestry or a related forestry degree;or
- A masters degree in forest technology forestry forest management forest ecosystem management urban forestry forest science agroforestry or a related forestry degree.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Special Requirement:- This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C drivers license or equivalent.
Other Requirements:- PA residency requirementis currently waivedfor this title.
