We are seeking an experienced Application Support Developer with 4-6 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining supporting and enhancing business-critical applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure application stability resolve technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity at Omni Fiber. Candidates must not require sponsorship now or in the future at this time.
Responsibilities:
Provide Level 2 and 3 application support for internal and external users.
Investigate diagnose and resolve software and system issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with development teams to implement bug fixes and minor enhancements.
Maintain documentation for support processes system configurations and known issues.
Monitor system performance and implement improvements for reliability and scalability.
Analyze logs trace issues and write SQL queries to extract or update data.
Participate in root cause analysis and help prevent recurrence of incidents.
Support deployment processes patch management and application updates.
Assist in automating support tasks and developing tools for monitoring and alerting.
Coordinate with vendors or third-party providers for issue resolution and upgrades.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
4-6 years of experience in application support software development or a similar role.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Proficient in one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g. Java .NET Python Bash).
Solid understanding of relational databases and ability to write complex SQL queries.
Experience with ticketing systems (e.g. Jira ServiceNow) and incident management.
Familiarity with ITIL principles and software development life cycle (SDLC).
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g. Git).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
