Project Overview:

Port Arthur LNG LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains two (2) LNG Storage Tanks one (1) LNG Carrier Berth and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur Texas between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects.



As the #1 LNG EPC contractor by installed capacity Bechtel has the capability to successfully deliver a broad range of LNG projects through our integrated EPC self-perform model strategic partnerships and proven experience in LNG project delivery. Partnering with Bechtel means lower cost shorter delivery schedules and greater certainty of outcomes for our customers.



Job Summary:

In this role you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging material management quantity verification and validation safety and quality control technical inspection and testing knowledge and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely are complete and conform to quality standards and project requirements.



Major Responsibilities:

Overseeing and participating in the scoping of IWPs.
Providing support to the sequencing of IWPs.
Monitor quality of IWPs ensuring scoping and preparation of IWPs is done right the first time.
Providing support in creation and updating of the Level 4 IWP schedule 90-day work front analysis and 3-week lookahead.
Attend progress meetings maintain effective interface with site management team clients organization ensuring IWPs and advance work packaging efforts are effectively delivered on the project.
Monitor project schedule and ensure performance and timely delivery of IWPs; coordinate with Project Controls team planners other stakeholder of the project and ensure piping IWPs are issued as per the project priorities.
Working with superintendents and field engineers to facilitate planning discussions for each area across all disciplines.
Supports the development of the projects readiness review program defining craft discipline-specific readiness review package content and readiness checklist.
Oversees readiness review for respective craft discipline and creation of readiness review packages for IWPs in accordance with project-defined readiness review program.
Developing and maintaining workface planning storyboards for key scopes.
Validating IWP sequencing aligns with construction execution testing and startup priorities and project earnings curves.
Managing constraints.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelors degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.


Required Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of construction activities as relates to engineering disciplines cost and scheduling and contract administration.
Displays effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner.
Computer literate in word processing spreadsheet and technical database applications.
Excellent problem-solving ability.
