Were excited to invite an experienced and motivated planning professional to join our Strategic Planning team at Glenorchy City Council.
This full-time role is perfect for a skilled Strategic Planner with strong project management capabilities and a solid background in statutory planning who is eager to shape the future of our City through innovative planning provisions.
At Glenorchy City Council our Strategic Planning team takes the lead on structure planning heritage conservation and landscape management whilst also exploring creative strategies to encourage residential infill maximise employment density and achieve quality amenity for our residents workers and visitors. What youll bring to the role:
- tertiary qualification in land use planning or a related field (e.g. environmental design architecture or geography)
- sound understanding of Tasmanias planning system the statutory and strategic planning process.
- demonstrated experience in handling strategic planning matters
- confidence working with a range of stakeholders to get great outcomes for our community
Position details:
- full-time (76 hours fortnight).
- 9-day fortnight because life happens outside of work too.
- flexible work arrangements
- located just 15 minutes from the Hobart CBD
