Associates Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Intelligence Compute
Minimum Education Training and/or Experience:Associates Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Intelligence Computer Science or other related field and two (2) years of experience in law enforcement forensics or crime scene analysis; or an equivalent combination of training and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above; Must be 21 years of age.
License or Certification by Statute or Regulation: Valid NC drivers license
Essential Functions of the position:
Perform a detailed search and analysis of crime scenes using various technical procedures including but not limited to photography fingerprint detection/identification casting of footprints and other criminal investigative procedures.
Perform detailed technological analysis of computers cell phones and other electronic devices to gather evidence.
Responsible for control of the handling storage and shipment of evidence.
Work closely with investigators deputy sheriffs other law enforcement agencies and the general public.
Assemble and organize statements/evidence for presentation in court; attend court to present evidence/testimony.
Handle store and ship evidence to insure that the chain of custody is maintained.
View/photograph autopsies of homicides and suspicious suicides.
Coordinate all aspects of the sale of evidence.
Performs other related duties as assigned
