As we navigate a critical period of transformation we are looking for a Head of Strategic Projects & PMO to lead and deliver our most impactful initiatives across the Water Services Business -encompassing South West Water Bristol Water Bournemouth Water and SES Water.
This is a unique opportunity to lead large-scale strategic change drive performance excellence and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of water services for the region.
What youll be doing
- Spearheading a portfolio of complex high-impact strategic projects that deliver growth transformation and measurable outcomes
- Establishing and leading a high-performing centralised Project Management Office (PMO) embedding consistent tools standards and governance frameworks
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership providing strategic oversight of programmes and portfolios
- Building organisation-wide project delivery capability and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Ensuring risk compliance and governance standards are met across all programmes
- Engaging stakeholders at all levels from operational teams to the Board to secure alignment and impact
- Championing innovation process improvement and change adoption across all water services businesses
What were looking for
- Proven experience in senior project and programme leadership roles
- Expertise in managing large complex cross-functional programmes -ideally within utilities or regulated environments
- Deep knowledge of both agile and traditional project delivery methodologies
- Experience in organisational transformation process improvement and PMO leadership
- PMP PRINCE2 Agile or equivalent project certifications (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt desirable)
- Highly developed interpersonal influencing and leadership skills with the ability to drive change at pace
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
