As Country Sales Manager for Italy you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the national sales organization which includes both direct employees and agent partners. Your role will focus on aligning internal teams around FMCs vision supporting commercial execution and delivering sales and margin targets. Working closely with Marketing and Supply you will oversee pipeline management lead generation forecasting and execution of commercial policies to meet strategic and financial goals. This role would report into the Country Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the national sales team across Italy including employees and agents
- Translate company vision and strategy into actionable sales plans
- Collaborate closely with Marketing on pipeline generation and lead qualification activities
- Build and maintain a robust sales forecast in alignment with quarterly and annual targets
- Track and report on sales performance lead conversion and opportunity pipeline
- Define and implement commercial strategies and policies to achieve revenue and margin goals
- Partner with Marketing and supply to ensure product availability aligns with sales planning
Candidate Qualifications
- University degree in Agriculture or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of the crop protection market with experience in agrochemicals seeds or fertilizers
- Previous experience in sales management and team coordination preferably within a multinational environment
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office tools
- Fluent in English and Italian both written and spoken
- Proven leadership vision and ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams
- Strategic thinker with a proactive innovative and solutions-oriented mindset
- Willingness and ability to travel within Italy up to 50-60%
