Job Description


Job Title: Technical Lead Software Engineering
Location: Irving Texas

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to drive the technical direction of our engineering initiatives
with a strong focus on hands-on coding architectural design code quality system troubleshooting and
observability using Monitoring. This role focuses on driving the development of scalable web applications
supporting headquarters systems and Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives. The ideal candidate will
bring deep expertise in cloud-native architecture (with a strong preference for AWS) observability
practices and technical troubleshooting while guiding teams to follow best practices in engineering and
monitoring.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Team &Project Leadership
Lead a distributed engineering team to deliver secure scalable applications supporting
centralized operations and MDM systems.
Oversee the development of React and microservices ensuring alignment with
enterprise data governance and system-of-record requirements.
Ensure timely delivery aligned with sprint and release cadences maintaining high standards of
code quality performance and reliability.
Promote cloud-agnostic strategies with a strong emphasis on AWS as the preferred platform for
deployment and scalability.
Collaborate with product managers data stewards and business stakeholders to define technical
requirements and delivery timelines.
Guide engineers in building secure maintainable and observable systems with a focus on
centralized data workflows.
Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards data privacy regulations and
governance policies
Technical Leadership & Strategy
Define and execute the technical strategy for headquarter systems and MDM platforms ensuring
alignment with business and data governance goals.
Provide architectural guidance for building scalable high-performance applications that support
master data domains such as customer product supplier and location.
Advocate for best practices in software and data engineering including security reliability and
governance.
Guide teams in adopting modern cloud-agnostic architectures and real-time data streaming using
Kafka (MSK).
Lead modernization efforts for legacy systems and integration with enterprise data lakes and
analytics platforms.
Drive troubleshooting efforts across the stack ensuring root cause analysis and long-term resolution
of technical issues.
Observability & Monitoring
Lead the implementation of observability frameworks using New Relic or similar platforms.
Define and enforce standards for monitoring alerting and logging ensuring full visibility into
application health and performance.
Guide the team in integrating custom metrics dashboards and alerts to track system behavior and
proactively address issues.
Continuously improve observability practices to support high availability performance tuning and
incident response.

Cross-Team Collaboration & Business Alignment
Partner with Product Business and Data Governance teams to translate enterprise data needs into
scalable technical solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-geography teams ensuring effective communication
and alignment across time zones.
Manage stakeholder expectations balancing business priorities with engineering feasibility and
technical constraints.
Support cross-domain initiatives such as enterprise reporting compliance and centralized identity
and access management.

Operational Excellence & Risk Management
Monitor and improve system reliability observability and incident response for mission-critical
headquarters and MDM applications.
Optimize application and data pipelines for performance scalability and cost efficiency across
cloud and hybrid environments.
Ensure compliance with data security privacy and regulatory standards (e.g. GDPR CCPA).
Establish and enforce operational best practices including CI/CD automated testing and release
management.
Required Qualifications &Skills:
Experience:
Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Engineering or a related field.
5 years of experience in software engineering with 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience with:
o React for enterprise web development PostgreSQL MongoDB GraphQL
Elasticsearch WebSocket and Kafka (MSK).
o Cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and cloud-agnostic deployment strategies
Strong understanding of performance tuning scalability and system design in a retail or enterprise
context.
Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zone and locations working in Agile
environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience guiding cross-functional teams in the development of web application
Strong understanding of frontend/backend architecture performance optimization and responsive
design.
Experience managing full application lifecycles-from planning and development to deployment and
post-release support.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with a focus on iterative delivery and continuous
improvement.
Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) data governance frameworks and enterprise
integration patterns.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines automated testing and DevOps practices.
Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers conduct code reviews and foster a high-performance
engineering culture.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across product design and business teams.
