Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Buyer to work on-site with our client a worldwide designer manufacturer and integrator of precision control components company. This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for supply chain activities related to procurement and sustaining a smooth material flow to manufacturing or contract manufacturers. The right candidate will bring solid ERP knowledge vendor relationship skills and a drive for process improvement. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage material orders to align with production schedules.
- Source and select suppliers based on quality product type and partnership potential.
- Negotiate contracts (pricing terms warranties delivery timelines).
- Monitor and improve supplier performance using KPIs.
- Issue and manage purchase orders through ERP; maintain vendor and pricing data.
- Interpret technical drawings specs BOMs and routings.
- Collaborate across departments-Engineering Quality Production Control and more.
- Provide cost inputs for proposals and support continuous improvement.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelors in a business-related field and 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
OR Associates degree and 5 years of relevant supply chain experience - Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP systems
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational math and analytical skills
- Confident communicator and relationship-builder with vendors and internal teams
- Must be eligible to access U.S. Export Controlled information
