About the role:

As a Buyer in our centralised purchasing team youll play a vital role in ensuring our mobile product catalogue meets and exceeds customer expectations. From managing supplier performance to staying ahead of market trends youll be at the heart of delivering value quality and innovation to our customers. This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work from home and travel to suppliers and offices when needed.

• Experience in a purchasing team ideally within telecoms or IT
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
• Proficient in Excel Word and CRM systems (Sage and Salesforce desirable)
• Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated enthusiastic and driven
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Logical thinker with a structured approach to problem-solving
• Willingness to travel for supplier and office visits

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain and update the product portfolio on CRM and EDI systems
• Manage supplier relationships and conduct quarterly reviews
• Monitor supplier performance using QCDR metrics
• Research market trends to identify new technologies
• Escalate inventory or supplier issues to the Head of Supply Chain and Logistics
• Ensure timely and complete inventory delivery (OTIF)
• Resolve supplier invoice queries efficiently
• Develop and maintain a preferred supplier list
• Support sales teams with product knowledge during customer visits
• Conduct regular off-site visits to suppliers and other offices
• Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
