Job Description
Position: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Start Date: 11/25/2024
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Mount Clemens MI 48043
Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Days 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM 12
Shift Notes: 3/12s with a 36-hour guarantee (no 4/12s.)
Weekend Requirements: Every Other Weekend
On-Call Requirements: None
COVID-19/FLU Requirement: na
Traveler Policy: Candidates Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 35-mile radius restriction)
Dress Code: Navy Blue
EMR: Cerner
Ratio: ICU is 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity / Step Down 1:3
Further Specifics:
- Nonbillable Hours: 12 hours of initial hours
- OT/Holiday/Call back Markups: 1.1x Regular rates
- Extension Discount: $1/hr on the initial extension.
JOB IS FOR SPECIFIC TRAVELERS
The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Carries out functions according to hospital policy the hospital mission and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. Directs coordinates and delegates activities to foster patient / family-centered care.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assesses the physical psychosocial and educational needs of the patient.
- Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
- Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
- Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.
- Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care patient satisfaction environment and professional development.
- References NOT required.
- A skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required. All other professions outside of Nursing are not required but preferred.
- Michigan license verification is required for nurses. Please provide LARA and Nursys; if there is a license hit it would be in the travelers best interest to provide a write-up of what happened for the managers review.
- Physical copies of certifications are only required in the profile if listed above.
- Full-time employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
