Interventional Radiology Technician (Traveler)
Department: Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Facility: Athena Medtech
Schedule: Monday Friday 07:30 AM 04:00 PM 8-hour shifts
Weekly Hours: 40
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab settings
Athena Medtech is seeking a skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Technician (Traveler) to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise patient-centered care and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced highly collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities:-
Prepare examination and procedure rooms ensuring proper setup for imaging and sterile techniques.

Administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents under appropriate supervision to capture accurate and usable diagnostic images.

Position patients and imaging equipment clearly explain procedures and prioritize patient safety and comfort throughout examinations.

Operate imaging systems and input data into computerized systems to document scan sequences and monitor image quality.

Monitor patients throughout procedures and adhere strictly to safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.

Communicate critical imaging findings to the attending physician and maintain accurate up-to-date patient records.

Coordinate and organize daily imaging schedules including prioritizing emergency cases as needed.

Certified Interventional Radiology Technician with active state licensure (as applicable).

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Cath Lab setting.

Strong technical skills in operating advanced imaging equipment and administering contrast media.

Excellent communication and patient care abilities.

Experience working as a travel healthcare professional is preferred.
