Job Description
MRI Technologist Radiology (Afternoon/Evening Shift)
Location: Athena Medtech
Department: Radiology MRI
Schedule: 4 Days/Week (10-Hour Shifts)
Shift Hours: 12:30 PM 11:00 PM Monday through Thursday
Weekly Hours: 40
Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years in MRI Imaging
Athena Medtech is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to join our Radiology team during the afternoon/evening shift. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing high-quality MRI scans providing excellent patient care and ensuring safety and compliance with imaging protocols.
Key Responsibilities-
Accurately prepare and position patients for MRI procedures ensuring optimal image quality through proper technique and equipment settings.

Perform patient pre-screening and provide thorough explanations of the procedure to ensure safety compliance and comfort.

Operate MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic images; transfer and archive data in PACS and related systems.

Follow established safety protocols for MRI procedures including screening for contraindications and ensuring proper use of contrast agents when applicable.

Monitor and report equipment performance issues to ensure continued optimal operation.

Submit high-quality images and complete accurate documentation including lead markers and patient history.

Assist with maintaining a clean safe and organized work environment including procedure rooms and equipment areas.

Certification: ARRT (MRI) or ARMRIT (required)

BLS certification (required)

Minimum 2 years of recent experience performing MRI imaging

Experience with Epic PACS and Powerscribe preferred

Excellent communication and patient care skills

Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
