Overview:
UBS is seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to support enterprise-scale cloud operations automation and cost optimization initiatives. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong Azure experience DevOps practices and infrastructure automation skills especially within a financial services environment.
Position: Contract Full-time (Hybrid)
Responsibilities:

Implement and manage CI/CD pipeline automation
-
Perform system and configuration changes to improve automation and efficiency
-
Manage and optimize cloud monitoring tools (Nagios Prometheus Grafana)
-
Lead application migrations between banking entities
-
Handle certificate renewals and cleanup of legacy systems
-
Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams on scalable solutions
-
Drive FinOps initiatives to reduce Azure cloud spend
Requirement Qualifications:

Must-Have Skills:

Azure Cloud infrastructure management
-
FinOps / Cloud cost optimization
-
Azure CosmosDB / SQL
-
Terraform / IaC scripting
-
PowerShell / Bash scripting
-
Linux OS proficiency
-
CI/CD pipeline automation

Monitoring tools: Nagios Prometheus Grafana

UBS banking environment familiarity (preferred)

Grid DataSynapse experience (preferred)

Experience:
-
7 8 years in cloud platform engineering DevOps or automation roles

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Financial or banking domain experience preferred

Candidate Details:

Must have strong Azure DevOps background

Skilled in automation monitoring and FinOps

Experience in banking environments and UBS systems is a plus
