Overview: The client is seeking a Calypso Support Consultant to provide production and functional support for their back-office financial systems-specifically around Calypso a leading platform for trading risk management and operations. This is an onsite role in New York City offered on W2 or C2C and is hands-on client-facing and mission-critical for day-to-day business continuity.
- CALYPSO: Workflows - trade transfer message Task Station Accounting Reporting and Reconciliation Confirmations Clearing & Settlement Regulatory Reporting Repo and Collateral Cash Management.
- Provide application support to the business users
- Communicate effectively.
- Analyse and manage incidents.
- Release testing
- Performance analysis
- Production deployment and validation
- Production releases on weekend
- Problem management and continuous improvement
- Provide non-functional requirement to build team to implement monitoring as code.
- Prepare and maintain knowledge base within the scope of the team.
- Find and eliminate root cause of recurrent incidents.
- Collaborate with build team to assess the priority of problems and follow-up the resolution even contributing to the definition of long-term solutions.
- Provide functional and technical expertise on Calypso as our main vendor for back-office systems and develop the expertise as well on the other platforms linked to Calypso
- Work on improving and harmonizing the processes between each IT BO teams
- Work on improving the tools used by the teams to ease monitoring incident detections etc
- Support business users (trader risk manager market risk monitoring operator back-office and middle-office analyst market data administrator).
- Analyse and manage incidents/problems/requests working closely with project infrastructure and production teams.
- Support daily weekly and monthly regulatory reporting for all sites.
- Maintain knowledge base for the applications and processes in scope of the team.
- Provide requirements to build team for bug fixing and continuous improvements.
