Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide first-level support for AWS services assisting customers with technical issues via email chat or phone.
- Monitoring and Incident Management: Monitor cloud environments for issues and alerts responding promptly to incidents and escalating as necessary.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to AWS infrastructure collaborating closely with customers and other technical teams.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of support cases and solutions contributing to knowledge base improvements.
- Operational Maintenance: Support operational tasks such as system updates backups and health checks of cloud services.
- Customer Engagement: Communicate effectively with customers ensuring they understand processes and solutions related to their queries.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of AWS services (e.g. EC2 S3 RDS) and cloud architecture.
- Scripting Knowledge: Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting can be beneficial for automating tasks.
- Linux/Unix Knowledge: A fundamental understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems is often required; experience in administration is helpful.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for customer interaction.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze problems and devise solutions effectively under pressure.
- Team Player: Willingness to work closely within a team environment and assist in troubleshooting complex issues.
