Pediatrix Medical Group a national leader in neonatal and pediatric care is excited to announce an exceptional full-time opportunity for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Neonatologist to join our newly established Level II NICU at Piedmont Cartersville Regional Medical Center a nationally ranked facility located in the charming and rapidly growing suburb of Cartersville just 45 minutes north of downtown Atlanta.

Job Description:

The Neonatologist will be responsible for comprehensive care of newborns in a Level II NICU including:

  • Providing care to newborns requiring Level II NICU support
  • Attending high-risk and C-section deliveries
  • Covering a 12-bed newborn nursery including well-baby care when pediatricians are unavailable
  • Rounding in-house during the day
  • Taking call from home overnight
  • Working in a collaborative environment with nurses and allied staff
  • Contributing to quality improvement and care coordination initiatives
  • Supporting newborn resuscitation and stabilization as needed
  • Not accepting Locums candidates

  • Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Neonatology - REQUIRED
  • GA license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • Fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (to be completed prior to start) - REQUIRED
  • Experience or training in Level II NICU care - REQUIRED
