Job Summary:
This Systems Analyst position requires a blend of technical analytical and communication skills to support monitoring and updating computerized vehicle vessel and equipment information systems. The role involves assisting software users conducting data analysis to improve operations implementing solutions within financial software platforms and managing reports and dashboards. The position is primarily on-site with some hybrid work options potentially available depending on business needs and individual performance.

Responsibilities:
- Developing monitoring and updating computerized vehicle vessel and equipment information systems.
- Conducting detailed analyses and studies to identify areas for quality service and operational improvements.
- Supporting the implementation integration and ongoing maintenance of asset information data within the fleet management system.
- Acting as the main point of contact with Asset Management for Maximo support of Fleet and Marine Assets.
- Managing periodic fleet reports for accuracy and rigor continuously improving existing reports and developing new dashboards for key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assisting software package users in day-to-day activities including data loads maintenance data extraction and maintenance of existing systems.
- Analyzing existing processes configured outside of the structured software platform documenting processes and proposing and assisting in the implementation of solutions within the financial software platforms.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint Power BI and other computer applications and file organization procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to use Pivot Tables Tables and Database formulas within MS Excel.
- Strong technical aptitude with experience in managing information systems or databases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- 4-year degree
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Maximo and Holman software.
- Experience in fleet management marine operations or a related field.
- Proven ability to manage and improve periodic fleet reports and develop new dashboards for KPIs.
Special Considerations:
- Candidates must be local to the Tri-State area and in W2 tax status as an hourly paid employee.
- Fully remote positions are prohibited. Hybrid schedules are permissible with a minimum of 3 days on-site but remote work privileges can be revoked at any time.
- NYPA does not provide laptops; employees must use their personal equipment for remote work. If an employee lacks proper equipment or internet connection or is deemed ineffective working from home hybrid privileges will be revoked.
- Vendors must disclose foreign national status and all Visas at the time of candidate submission. A Benefits Waiver and Ethics Disclosure will be required during onboarding.
- Overtime is not permitted unless authorized in advance. There are no paid holidays vacation or sick days; compensation is for time worked only.
Scheduling:
- Monday through Friday 8-hour workday with an unpaid lunch.
